        Hi Oli,

Looks really soft on the edges, not like you typically see on S&L CCCs. Can you give some dimensions and a weight? Can you do a few closeups of the central motif and a few of the backplate?

        Thanks

        Tom
If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

          hi tom,

iam not sure about the backplate!!!it can be replaced.
the edges are soft thats right.
look at the backside inside the red markers!!! the typical s&l lines!!

only the pin and the backlpate are magnteic!!!! unforgenily i hafe no scales rigth now.

                  Hi Oli,

Thanks for the additional pics. I agree with you that the clasp is most likely a good one, but the color of the base metal looks odd to me. It may be the pics, but is that how it looks in real life? I don't really see any bronze finish left, so is that base zink metal we are seeing or just a really dark patina?

The backplate is most certainly replaced. It looks like the crimps may have been re-crimped over the new plate. Along with the new plate being magnetic, you will see that its corners are a bit rounded. This is very different than original S&L CCCs, whose backplate corners are usually pretty sharp.

                  Tom

                    hi tom,

                    the finish is very dark.
imo its not the base zink what you can see.
around the eagle and the stickgranate is finish gone.
the backplate ist replaced, you can see the round corners and the mechanical spoors around the crimping.
but the ccc was very cheap and i love it.

                    thanks tom your opinion.
