    Hi Andreas,

Since both CCCs are of the exact same type and manufacture, I would think that he most likely received these both at the same time. Although there is no evidence that more than 1 CCC was handed out to recipients upon their awarding (other than the gold presentation CCC), I think it is totally possible that some soldiers received multiple CCCs, one for field wear and one to send home.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

I love to see complete groupings like this. As things get more expensive these groupings end up scattered to the winds. At least we have a record of them.

            Don,

I couldn't agree with you more. Complete groupings are simply fantastic in that they keep the soldier's story from getting lost in the tons of info from WWII. I have always been partial to these, as it shows the human side of the soldiers.

Great grouping! Very lucky to be living in the EU to have these opportunities.

thanks for the comments and help

Im also getting a photo group of this person and hopefully the soldbuch or wehrpass..
As I said, Im not that much into WWII Stuff but had to take the opportunity and since I have this Group ..its hard to let it go again. But because it wasnt a gift and money is of course involved..i'd like to sell it but prefer very much to sell it as a Group..how it belongs to. And I know there are many Collectors outthere that are after complete Groupings.

Any suggestions what a reasonable selling price would be?

              Regards
              Andreas

                Hallo Andreas,

As said by other members, this is a very fine group. Personally, I like the documents best, closely followed by the translation of the diary and his tunic as well .
Documents are signed by Gerhard Berthold (EK2), Rudolf Kaempfe (KVK2), Wilhelm Busse (CCC), Rudolf Kaempfe & Friedrich Hoßbach (Service medal) and Johann Petersen (unknown doc in lower right corner). Otherwise, what kind of document is that in lower right corner (picture in post #14)? Petersen was commander of Radf-Abt.31, AA31 and IR17, can you also tell us what unit is mentioned on that particular doc? I have a feeling it will be IR17, if my eyes don't deceive me ....

                Thank you for showing,
                Laurens
