Reorganising the collection and thought would post these for interest, Don't think they are that common in tombak, all marked small "w" Not mint but still nice finish

mmm, need to look a bit closer, I bought them as tombak, whats the weight of a zinc w IAB, these are quite heavy.

Hi Rob i just weighed my Wurster zinc 1.17.2 GAB & that comes in at 36.71g. A tombak one of the same, that alas i don't have is alleged to be 38.2g.Stewy

You are right. "Tombak made" is not common on this types of badge.

                    Cheers

                        Hi Rob

All fantastic badges, thanks for posting

IMO all tombak, easily seen on the silver IAB and GAB, and most likely the bronze IAB with that set up.

It is much harder to find a zinc wurster IAB than one made from tombak.

                        cheers

I remember it Scott. Wurster made massive Heer tombak badges early on, before it became a critical war metal. You can also find the PAB in massive tombak form. As for other services' badges, I don't know.
