    GAB Help please

    Hi
I need to thin out my collection and am starting by disposing of all my unmarked badges.
Recently posted an EK2 for sale that turned out to be a bad one so do not wish to make the same mistake.
Would be obliged if you could pass your eyes over these to see if they are ok.

If my memory is correct, this first badge is an Assmann but I could be wrong, looks to have suffered some zinc pest in the past.

This one looks complete and without damage-any ideas as to the maker?

                      Hi Andy

This is my take on your badges.

                      1) The Assmann is in bad condition, and the catch looks strange. Side angle pics might help. Is your badge magnetic?

                      2) Unknown maker # 10

                      3) Not too comfortable with this badge, especially with the strange set up for this kind of GAB.

                      4) As Stewy said, unknown # 10. I tend to think it has a replaced catch. It certainly is not the usual catch found on this type. Plenty of solder was often used on the catches by this maker and that is not evident on your catch, which suggests to me it was not factory done. Pure speculation here I might add.

                      cheers
                      Graeme

The Assman has questions that need answered. Is it magnetic (steel) or zink? The hinge and catch look strange. Better pics are needed of both to be sure. Measurements and weight also would help.
