For ANY of you who insist proof cannot be found, we are on a wild goose chase, I invite you vote your confidence here in my insistence that proof is possible. http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...369#post271369

The title of an old movie applies to your quest to disprove "Scaldy Prosper and W. C.". The title was THE MAGNIFICENT OBSESSION. We have never said that the proof to quince your "magnificent obsession" can't be found. Our major complaint is that when 100% factual proof can't be found one my use logic and fall on the preponderance of all circumstantial as well as factual evidence. Relying on cropped and distorted scans (Fuzzy Woozies) taken from period photographs prove little. ONLY a clear detailed photograph will satisfy me. Will one be found? Probably, but I don't need one to prove that the Bartz Badge, Prosper's Badge or my former badge are period original badges. We also don't need to vent our venom, whatever any kind of poison. We need factual and reliable information. Just look at another badge that was produced from March 26, 1936 until the end of the war. I am referring to the Luftwaffe Commemorative Pilot badge. It has yet to be seen in wear, but it is a known fact that it was instituted, produced and awarded. Do we reject this badge just because we haven't found a photograph showing it in wear? Certainly not because we have more than adequate information to prove it was a badge made and awarded during WWII. Finding a period photograph of this badge in wear had been my magnificent obsession for now going on 50 years. Will I find one? Only time will tell, but I know my time is running out so I must hurry to satisfy my "M. O."

What exactly exempts you from proof? Is that what this is all about?

Over and over you vent your venom. Why? Because we would like to have photos? Why does that bother you?

Why? Why does it bother you that we search for good photos of badges in wear?

Why do YOU continue to say we are trying to disprove you?
Sorry old chap, but I vent no venom. I am a kindly gentile old man. I also want to see good clear photographs, which have yet to be presented as of this date to change my mind that we have 3 major types of this rare badge.

Again, Bill tries to bury logic and proof. Again, I invite you.

As Muldur said, "The proof is out there".

I saw that one (or one like it) on ebay recently. The markings alone kill it IMO. These same markings are death to Imperial flight badges.
