Hi Allan,
From this altitude it looks less promissing. Is the mm sitting under the catch or upside down above the catch. If its sitting under the catch than this is a known copie. Because I can't see the whole badge I'm not sure based upon your last pic.

Sorry, but from the photo ( which isn't very good ) this looks like a reproduction. You will find this repro with with different maker marks or not marked at all.

Hi Allan, this badge is definately a fake that has been going around for the past 2 years. The bayonet is the main give away on the obverse, I call it the butterknife badge. Blade is way too wide at the end. The back is close to a F&BL in clasp and hinge, but the pin is slightly different from originals. Also, F&BL should be upside down above the catch on these. Other than that, details are scary good on the obverse.

Tom and others are correct a 101% fake, I bought one several months ago from a very well known dealer they used to have a shop in London.....hint, hint !
There is a thread on here concerning mine, within a hour of this coming through the door I posted it and plop........another fake
