Just got this pictures from an auctioneer....Just want to share it because IMO it was a bad attempt to fake it.

yes I thought also as I compared it with known original examples.

Its a good reference for fake ccc's on this forum.

            Hi Martin,

The obvious dead give-away for me is the grey basemetal. ALL Presentation NKSs are tombac below the gilt.

            Throw that one back!

                Tom,

Not sure what a Presentation Clasp goes for these days, a real one that is, but figure the CCC Book is less than 1% of the price. If I was looking to buy a clasp, I'd be sleeping with your book! Call it 'life insurance'.

No doubt Mark, a no brainer! Just look at the prices of simple bronze clasps are going for these days, $500 and as high as $1,100 I have just seen! For 100 bucks, you have all the info right at your fingertips, and a quick look through it would eliminate 75% of the questions people post on the forums.

                    Tom,
Don't get me started again! Or I'll be exiled to Die Kniepe.

Why buy a book and educate yourself when all you have to do is ask "Is it real" and "What's it worth" .............
