    Ss Service Medals Opinions Please. Thanks

    I Just Moved And Was Unpacking Some Of My Collection. Here Are Some Pictures.I Have A 4yr 8 Yr 12yr And 25 Yr SS Medal. I Bought Them All About 25 Years Ago From A Collector Here In Los Angeles.The 4 Year Is At My Other House.the 12 Year And 25 Year Do Not Have The Usual Pear Shape Hanger, I Have Seen Other Round Hanger Ones Over The Years At Various Shows.if These Were Made As Copys Then It Would Be Stupid Not To Include The Pear Shape Hanger,so Let Me Know What You Think.thanks Stephen

                Agreed, the 12 & 25 year awards are pathetic attempts at reproductions. Do a forum search on two piece SS-Service Awards.
                From the distant picture, the 8 year & case look promising.

                  Dear Fellow Members,
                  Thanks so much for the opinions.I like the Gold medal very much, but doubted its authenticity.I will be happy keeping the 4 and 8 year versions and the other 2 as copys.Any more comments are welcome. Stephen

                            What was the point in dragging up an old thread such as this...if the OP had really wanted to know what he had, he would've posted better pics of the 8 year...Seven years ago!
