PABs silver EWE & bronze ?

    Hi folks,

New to PABs. Recently picked up two examples. Hoped I might post & learn. While the silver is marked the bronze is not. Anything you can tell me?

    Thanx in advance, Rick C.

          Hello Rick,

I am sorry to say that both of these badges are fakes, in my opinion. I hope you are able to get your money back. Let's see what others have to say. Hopefully, I am wrong.

          Best regards,
          Tom

            Hi Rick,

I unfortunately agree with Tom; these are both fake. The hollow bronze is the "two-dot fake" (see post #10 here http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...&highlight=dot ).

The silver EWE would be quite a find if real. This one is one of the newer fakes - the lettering is similar but not quite right, as is the hardware. The typical EWE hand finishing on the back is not on this example.

            Sorry,
            Greg

              Hi Rick,

I agree with Greg & Tom, these are well made reproductions. The hardware on the hollowback is the biggest give away on these for me. Same with the EWE, compare these to originals and you will see differences.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

                  Guys,

I VERY much appreciate your help. Bummer for me as I thought a few PABs in my displays would cheer up some insignia but, as I said, "post & learn".

                  Thanx for your help.

                  Rick
