Hello,
You all know how crazy I am after everything that is Glider related and during my recent years I have had the pleasure to know quite a few Glider piltos etc ... + whenever I have the time I just love to visit them .
Some times you are lucky and they have some stuff left => here is a piece from a friend I know for about 3 years now etc ... and he always said he had his badge somwhere but could never ever find it ( happens quite a few times ) , today however I received a package with a very nice message from my friend that he finally found his original awarded badge back and that he gave it towards me for my humble Glider collection .
This glider pilot was a instructor with the Erg.Gruppe ( S ) 2 during 1941/42 and did see quite some combat action in afrika with teh LW feldregt. " Barenthin ", he was very seriously wounded ( by a explosive bulet ) and did make it back towards his homeland only to recover from his wounds and end up as a platoon leader in Holland and become a POW .
And here it is => a perfect and genuine C.E.Juncker made Buntmetall glider pilots badge in near perfect condition , OHHHHHHH i just love these guys and their badges + I will certainly provide this little treasure a good home
Enjoy,
