            Hi Van,

Looks good to me too. Look really close at the back when you get it, might have a mark on it. Mine has a small "pi" mark on the reverse.

                  Hello:

I don't want to hijack this thread, but I am curious to know if someone has found out more information on this maker mark seen on F&R PABs. I have a General Assault Badge with the same marking. Is this still considered to be a distribution mark of some kind.

Greg Walden posted a clear image of this mark on his F&R PAB, and I know Tom has an F&R PAB with it as well.

Here is the image of Greg's, which I hope he will not mind me posting.

Hi there,i've been told by DennisGT,that it's also been seen on EK's too. It would be interesting to hear opinions on this M/M. Stewy

                        Hi Dennis,

Mine is the same as Greg's and the one you posted a picture of. Is your GAB the F&R/BH Mayer type GAB?

I don't think anyone has unearthed any further info on the mark, but the GAB is a new one on me. I'm at work without Frank's book to hand ... is that an unmarked F&R GAB, or some other known maker?

I think the mark was used by an as-yet-unknown company that was reselling badges that had been made for them by another company(s). Having said that, it's interesting to note that on my PAB the mark appears to be stamped in, yet has finish over top of it. In other words, the badge appears to have received its finish after that mark was stamped.

                          Best,
                          Greg

                            Hi Guys:

Thanks for the responses.....and again I didn't intend to hijack the thread.

I believe my GAB example to be a 1.25.1 GAB when using Frank's book, and I recall this being the consensus of opinion when I first posted the badge.

Here are some scans of my GAB.
