    To repair or not (2)?

I picked this up on the weekend, was wondering if to get a new hinge & pin put on ? Is it worth it and can it be done ?

    Hi Rich,

I would leave it as is. IMO, a badge like this or one that was recently repaired have the exact same value, so no reason to try to fix it so someone 20 years from now can pass it on as a "period repaired" IAB.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

I wouldn't repair it, just leave it alone - it's a very nice IAB how it is.

You asked whether it could be repaired - well the good Doctor I'm sure would make a fine job of it - but is it necessary - I don't think so.
