check this out...Daisey PAB maker identified????

Just got this in....the badge came with the brown packet marked L/10
perhaps my search is ended as to the maker of one of the nicest PABs.
    Deschler it is!
the quality is defintately there to warrant this maker (as well as numbers of this piece prroduced it should be a major producer) and the badge is mint so i have to assume they (packet and badge) have been together awhile
i am one excited mike right now

Mike, I hope you are right but I fear that unless others show up like this your inference is tenous at best.
Keep searching though, we need an answer.

      Hi Mike,

Interesting find and an absolutly mint daisy PAB, congrats.

I think it's certainly a trail to keep in mind, however nothing so easy to change as a packet to put a badge in. It's a bit the same story as with the supposed S&L PAB's, I dont believe that we ever found a second example of these in a packet.

Anyway I'll certainly keep the link in mind and keep an eye open for other clues confirming the Deschler trail.

Man, Mike, it's just too darn bad that the piece itself wasn't stamped. Was it common practice for Deschler not to stamp his pieces as a whole? Well, anyway, this is a very good start. Are other features of the badge common to other marked Deschler's badges, i.e. pin assembly, etc.?

i agree it is not 100% definitive but it is a good start and an interesting lead....i dont think that deschler marked many of their items....i think they numbered some....i have never seen a daisy with a mark on them.
it is a sweet badge though

            Dear Mike,

Here is my hollow Daisy, which has a very specific catch that is different from the semihollow Daisys one mostly encounters. I could not link it to anything Deschler though. But at least we do have a start and something to look for!

Frank your lucky devil thats realy an amazing Hollow daisy PAB.

This definetly is on of the rarer holow PAB's. The last one I saw up for sale was a stone mint Silver example. For a minute I hessitated but € 275 for me was just a little over the top for a PAB I guess.

                      Dear Philippe,

Paid 120 EUR for mine, found it at Weitze´s at a show. Actually Weitze should have paid me some, because after our deal he finally learned what a "Daisy Variant" is. But instead of happiness about new knowledge, his merchant´s face showed something like: "****, if that badge is so special to this crazy guy, I could have asked for much more!"

                      Happy hunting!

                      Cheers, Frank

                        Hi Frank,

I'm afraid the in the meantime he learned his lesson, try to find any PAB in a halfway acceptable condition for less then €155 on his site

Brian, never just post an obverse pic because people will be screaming for the reverse shot. I know I will, you old tease!

It just says Daisy BB Corporation on the back. Doesn't yours? Let me dig it out and I'll post it with this reply. Came with my Red Rider BB Gun.
