Silver TBD Question

Hi Guys; Through a trade deale with a dealer known to forum members, I am getting a silver TDB. The badge itself looks very promising, but the darkening is worn in quite a few spots, and a brass-looking colour is coming through. Were the tanks on these badge ever made of darkened brass. This badge is coming with a Niemann letter and the dealer has excellent feedback on this forum. I'm also getting a nice JFS 25 PAB from the same dealer. Thanks, John

Hi,

the tanks were made of different metals and alloys, including brass. The colours also varied from black, brown and even silver.

It is allways better to show pictures if possible !

Hi John......

......One could always post a link to the web page in lieu of the images. Descriptions just aren't enough in this day and age. I'm sure that the dealer wouldn't have a problem with a link to his site.....unless you're worried that someone may try to beat you to the item(s).

Hi There Bruce; Thanks for the suggestion. the item I wanted is now off the site, although there is another one that seems to be black with a different base metal. I'm also getting a JFS 25 PAB from this dealer, so I guess he sent the items out already!!! I hope I'm really that lucky,, John
