    Hello Laurence,

I agree with Graeme, for $230 I would pass on this badge.

Not that rare imo, and the price is just a bit too much. I would pass.
      Kind regards,

Thanks for all the comment's. I think I will walk away from this one. would anyone care to suggest what would be a more "unique" GAB?

Unique can mean a lot of things. If you are looking for reverse details, that was it. Or maybe the wide pin "Wernstein" -UU.
If you want one, I would own an early buntmetal piece. The design you are walking away from is the most "unique" looking IMO, but the buntmetal badges are desireable and of high quality with delicate obverse details.
I am also proud of my cupal GAB, and I have an unknown maker that looks like chrome.
It is all a matter of personal taste.
Nice thing about this hobby. There's something for everybody.
            Best regards,
            Frank

              how about this one...
This one below and the Art Deco GAB are my two favorites and among the hardest to come up with IMO, that's always kinda hard to determine with all the variations some badges come in so it's a personal decision and a matter of taste - maybe you should ask yourself as to what determines a badge to be rare first (agree with Frank here).
              Best Regards
