    L/10 IAb

How rare is an L/10 IAB and about how much do they go for?

    #2
    Hello,

It's not really rare, but certainly less common than some of the other makers of IABs. In my opinion, an L/10 IAB is worth about $80 to $100. Maybe as much as $150 if it is in really nice condition.

    Best regards,
    Tom

I agree with Tom on rarity.

Have you bought one, or are you looking for a price so you can sell one?

      cheers

Don't be shy, let's see it

If you are lucky it might have a marked pin also.

          regards

As far as rarity goes..........an L/10 is certainly not common. As far as price goes.......well I would love to find where L/10 IAB's are found for $80.00 or even $100.00. Would love to see some pices....what kind of catch do you have on it?

I bought this L/10 in March of this year for $65, from a dealer in New York. There are plenty of deals like this out there, you just need to be patient and not jump at everything you see otherwise you end up over-paying for stuff. Some dealers price things to move them quickly and some of them have no idea about the scarcity of certain maker marks nor even what company the logo represents. I find deals like this because I don't get all hyped up about maker marks. I like Infantry Assault Badges, but I don't need to own every single maker of them to be happy. I try to concentrate only on finding original items that are under-priced, regardless of whether the piece is marked/unmarked or whether I have none like it or a dozen.

                Best regards,
                Tom

reverse: It looks like an over-abundance of soldering paste was used on this piece when attaching the hardware.

This example has a non-magnetic, flat-wire catch soldered to a round catchplate.

A simple sheet metal hinge and a non-magnetic pin.

                          Hi Tom

Great deal you had there for a nice IAB.

The "scruffy" areas around the hinge and catch are quite common for this maker.

                          regards
                          Graeme

Nice badge, and I think a buck 25 for it was a decent buy as well. I have always loved the eagle on this makers IAB. Definitely beefier, and it means business. Congrats!
