Hi. What do you think about this one?

Looks like one of the ones posted here. Try doing a search before you post and you'll find lots of images for common badges like these.

Search is fine but sometimes you just cant find what you need (we all had those experiences). And whats wrong with seeing another picture of someone's badge?

Looks like a fine Assmann to me. All the features are there: swastika not cut out completely, 3 ejectors pad prints on each side.

Suggesting a search, some research and then some comments regarding your search and links might be of value to the new thread. Always good to see a new badge. You're taking my comment in a negative light.

I guess I misunderstood your comment. Sorry.

              Hi Sergey,

I agree a good badge no problem.

This is an example of the last production run of Assmann GAB's. After starting with hollow buntmetal badges, they switched to producing semi-hollow badges and ended with the pot metal GAB's like the one you posted.

To compare to yours I'll post a feinzink, semi-hollow version. You will clearly see a lot of differences in the design, which is once more proof for the fact different badges by the same maker produced at different areas in time don't have to look exactly the same.

Sergey´s potmetal Assmann is fine but beware, these are faked. Here are three pics of the same kind of fake:

Frank, I'm curious about those fakes you show. The reason being that a couple of them look just like my Assman zinc #2 mold badge linked below.

In particular, a forum member (Skip, I think) pointed out a couple of die flaws that exist in genuine Assman zinc GAB's, that mine has (and a couple of those fakes you show). These die flaws being at the 7 o'clock and 11 o'clock positions.

You got me scared Frank, even though everyone said I "had a good one" when I posted it a while back.

                      Dear John,

All I am offering is my conviction and of course I could be wrong. But I am truly convinced that the three examples I show are fakes. They are all from the same faker´s source and were sold in huge numbers over and over again by him.
It could be (and is likely) that there are good ones with the same features and that the copies are cast from those. Possibly.
However, if I would buy one of those late Assmanns, I would go for the type Sergey shows.

                      Cheers, Frank
