    Nahkampfspange FLL

    What is the exact measure and weight of a Nahkampfspange i bronze made by Friedrich Linden of Lüdenscheid (FLL).

    here are the measurements

    Wide 96,76 mm
    hight 25,95 mm
    Weight 35,93 gr.

    These apply to the FLL spange I'll post now

        Another one, in silver, but they are the same anyway,

        pretty much the same as Phils allowing for a few +-tolerences.

            Thanks Lemm, and yes it is mine and I also like it very much.

            One of my better catches at Detlevs update some months ago.

            I'll also post the reverse of the CCC. It's realy in very good condition and when you carefully look at the different layers of finish on this badge it for me explains why there seem to be so many Gold FLL CCC's arround.

            In fact most of them are just bronze FLL CCC's that lost the top layer of finish. Underneath that dark chocolate tone finish you can clearly see the gold tone shining through.

            Just look at the pin on the reverse scan. Here all the original bronze is gone and what is left is pure gold. So just my theory that explains why not everything that glitters on these FLL's is gold.
