I have a hard enough time distinguishing a basic PAB from right or wrong, let alone.......... I'm still learning and profess to know nothing.
It would make a sort of chronilogical continuity to have a 125, 150 and 175 and the infamous 200. Bit of a mouthful that ! Just my provincial opinion but I think there could be something in the 200 existance.

Find an undoctored award document for the 125, 150, 175, 200 or 500 and you've got some proof. No such award document has been put forward that I've ever seen. Or was one of those Hitler Youth wearing one in the infamous last film of Hitler outside the bunker?

To my way of thinking, fakes should be studied just as closely as originals. A while back I posted a pic of a 100 PAB. The first few replys went something like, no, don't like it, or no, they are suppose to have a gold wreath, or no, it's not like mine. Then a well respected member posted a reply saying that this was how these badges are suppose to look! Now all of a sudden this badge is OK. From the start I knew this badge was good, just because of where it came from.
When that thread was finished, I came away from it thinking that there was a lot that we don't know about these badges. Now another member says, oh ,I knew this was a joke all along. Well, all I can say about that, is that I own 2 of these numbered PAB's and have the opportunity to study them at will. He must be an expert at ID'ing these badges. Because that 150 is a good copy. And, I would still like to see the back of it.
I do appreciate Denis's above comment however. I really have not taken offense! I just felt the need to vent. I guess I am too much (old school). I require people to treat me the way that I treat them. I think I am starting to rave so will close. Perhaps I will go hunting for Bigfoot. or maybe Goerings dagger, or better yet, a Luftwaffe ground assault badge. Jeff, before you fly off the handle, I suggest going back through the archives, the subject of the 200 panzer assault has been flayed to death and it is only natural that those to took part inthe original threads attack this one with a slightly less than serious mood.
Its kinda like the movie groundhog day... just when you think it is over and done.... whammo...topic is there again.
No offense to the starter of this thread, maybe at some stage something new DOES come up, but we are pretty much where we were in the original threads.Comment

Few years ago I corresponded with the Eichenlaubträger Sepp Brandner, who was awarded the GAB 100. He wrote me: "I participated to many more than 100 assaults but there were no badges for me!"
