    Hi Mike,

I agree with you, unmarked L/53. The crimping technique used by this maker is so typical that you can't realy go wrong with these badges.

Quit rare IMO too, as seem to be all the L/53 badges. I searched the forum and my files and didn't even found a marked example.

The only one I found is featured in the Members only technical artical section, in Yuri IAB's artical. I think Yuri switched the LDO and Lieferant number and listed the badge as a Glaser & Sohn, instead of Hymmen & co.

      Hi Guys,

Here is one from DetlevĀ“s sales. Found some more in my pic files, which are from Ivan B. who has a bronze AND a silver marked one!

i see that the one you posted does not have the crimped in hinge...like the PAB it seems that there were 2 variations....one that had the crimped in hinge and catch and the other with just the crimped in catch.....i was pretty happy to get this, the dealer did not know the rarity and i got it for the price of a cheap IAB in bronze

          Dear Mike,

Good observation and absolutely right, same hinge variation rules as with the L/53 PABs.

          Cheers, Frank

FYI....i have an L/53 marked GAB that does not have the crimped in hinge and catch....i guess they did not use that style all the time.
