    Another hollow PAB (but good)

Lots of controversial hollow PABs knocking around at the moment so I thought I would just put this 100% good hollow bronze PAB up for review.

This was vet family obtained, togeather with other decorations from the same man.

It´s a lot different to the F&Rs that we have all been posting lately. I especially like the detailed grass area and the ? hook.

Anybody care to take a stab at the maker?

    Thanks, Skip

Why are you posting this one for educational reason

For sure you know this one is 100% good. The only PAB with a factory cutout swas. And in absolutely wonderfull condition my friend.

Best way to recognize a good one besides the cutout swas is a fat daisy like plant in the left grass area.

Here is mine and if I'm not mistaken Jan has the only silver one I ever saw.

PS: No clue towards the maker sorry

        Phil,

I also like the little triangular stone sitting on top of the rock.

Now that you mention it Skip, very nice feature, never noticed it

So if we use my "signature" theory the only thing we have to do is to find a marked one which shows these two features ad we found the maker.

Let me know if you get lucky Skip

            Hi Skip and Phillippe !
Nice hollow PAB`s in Bronze with cutout swaz . And with great details on grass area .
I have compared with all my "solid" back PAB`s , but is not able to find any one that match .
Here is mine in silver .

Who knows why these are so hard to find, must have been a really small company that made them I reckon, seeing as we can find no matching massive zincers they probably stopped making them early on.

Jan, has yours got a block type hinge instead of the wrap around type?
and maybe it´s just the photo, but I can not see the tiny stone on the rock!

Skip, I know Frank's going to hit me again, but since you brought it up I'll post it anyway.

I think I found a massive version that maybe was made by the same company. I think that might be the case based upon the following.

                    1. I always thought the eagle on these badges shows some similarity with the F&R type.

                    2. It has quit broad legs with feather waving out

                    3. It has exeptional grass detailing

                    4. and probably most important, I think it was Anthony who brought this up once, it's the only PAB which clearly has 7 visible track wheels in the right track when looking at it.

The pictures I'm going to post came from K Winklers sites and I hope he doesn't mind us using them for educational purposes

The first one also has one swas arm cut out, but since I found others who didn't have the cutout this could be done by the recipient I suppose.

I think the four points mentioned above are all to be found on this badge.

Let me know what you think.

Also note the wrap arround type hinge.

This one I'm posting just because you can see the 7the track wheel better here. It doesn't have the swas cutout

                          Hi Skip !
Yupp ! If "block hinge" is what I think it is . Like it is one some EK 1 , but on EK 1`s they lie down . And hinge like on Deumer earlie IAB`s .
And it has the "stone" , but on scan it looks more like an shadow .
