Dutch SS Sports Badge

The jury is well and truly out on these badges. Several high-end dealers believe them to be original, others have their doubts.

I have a bronze version without the sword which I purchased in 2004. I sent it to Detlev and he simply stated that he didn't know if they were original or not. He had a Gold version, also without sword, for sale on his update in 2000 priced at €2820 which he removed when he heard the controversy surrounding them.

For now, my badge now resides in my "fakes" box.

Does anyone know if a badge such as this was ever issued? Is it just a fantasy piece?

The disign was there alright, but I never ever saw them on a period photo.

So at least it is not a fantasy piece! It must be an incredable advantage if you have complete series of such magazines. The information the can give is superb.
