    Hymnen L/53 GAB

    Hello boy's

I've picked this one up recently after a lot of searching. It's a very nice L/53 marked GAB with a lot of silvering left on it (70/80%) What struck me was the very rough finishing that this badge had. Comparing it with my other very early S&L GAB, this one looks like an unpolished rock.
    Questions:
Is this one in you're oppinions legit?

I know there are three different variations of this type of badge. Witch one is the rarest?

    Here are the pic's

    Hi,

I think all the Hymen GAB's are rare (and a bit ugly). However the finish on your one is very nice.

      Hi Peter,

I agree with Theo, very nice Hymmen GAB and perfectly legit. I couldn't guess which of the zinc versions is rarer, but I think the hollow Tombak version is probably the rarest.

      Best,
      Greg

        Peter,
Three hundered plus posts of opinions, what is its value, and off site pictures. Jeeze, at least spend the lousy $25 and become a member.

Chet, I've been an member of this forum since 1999 ( my original account "Gunner" was deleted in 2001 couse of the fact I was more than 1 year overseas and wasn't able to log in) I've tried to join up for ass. member several times, but you can only join when you have a creditcard, wich I don't have and never will use. If membership payment and application can be done with Iban, than count me in.

            Hi Peter,

Very nice L/53 gab with the lower makermark, one of the rarer GAB's out there, congrats
            Kind regards,

                  That's one beauty!!

I hope some day I can trade my Hymnen for a FCL Art Deco type. I realy love that one.

                  Cheers: Peter
