    Yes, yes, yes, I know!

It is just a madman´s theory, that´s why I never mentioned it. It doesn´t hold much water except for the eagle and leaves. But without going crazy sometimes, you can´t learn new things. Right, fellow madman?

Phillipe & Frank, I wish that I had the eye for detail that you both seem to posess. I have to look and look untill I get a headache! I still think it's the same badge that was orginally posted. A big thumbs up to the both of you for the indepth discussion on this badge.

No problem Chet, I only wish we could do this more offen. In to many threads, people just sit at the side line and don't realy participate in a discussion. How ever crazy a theory might be there can always be an added value in it.

Just one more thing I wanted to add and I hope we all could agree on that. For me the badge posted by Rob is probably one of the most beautifull massive PAB I have ever seen. It shows great quality and detail, a beautifull layout and the most impressive eagle. I realy would love to see other examples of this badges but I'm affraid it's quit a rare one.

Anyway I'll add it to my shopping list, and if it has to be the last thing I do before I die, I'll find one.

          Hi Guy's

I think I broke a new record! I just found a nice bronze example and ordered it, so soon I'll be able to do some more comparing with both PAB's in my hand. I'll keep you all posted. If only the silver version wasn't in such a bad condition I would have had nice twins.

PS: I only hope that this doesn't mean I'll die today

            Hi Guys

Just because I hate loose ends this little update.

Early this week I received the Twin of the badge posted by Rob.

After carefully comparing it I just wanted to let you all know that Frank was right and I was wrong in linking it to the hollow version posted earlier in this thread.

However after seeing the third PAB Matteo put up for sale (that is in fact the same as Rob posted and I will post now) today on the e-stand and linking it to an FLL thread I made an other interesting discovery.

The obverse details are realy a match to FLL PAB's, however the reverse is totaly different. For me this is once more proof that there were far more manufacturers of PAB's than there would have been designers of PAB's. Probably only a few companies realy employed there own designers and most just bought the licence to use a certain design. This possibility was already discussed in this thread

So here is the twin brother of Rob's badge with FLL design. IMO the PAB that features the most natural looking eagle.
