Can you get larger pics? I'd like to see a larger shot of the eagle.

MIGHT be good. Is it maker marked behind the pin, just under the hinge? The finish on the front looks very hero-like, which scares me, but the details look right. The catch is not what I have seen on the ones I have handled, but it is a Ludenscheid catch, so not a huge deal. Better pics needed but it shows promise. STILL i would be VERY CAUTIOUS as the fake of these is a great casting that is just a wee bit small...

The rivet count is dead on. The details are very nice. I like what I see and only need measurements. Too bad she is not maker-marked, but the good thing is the fakes tend to be marked Juncker! So you may just have a nice L/56 there. Please post measurements and weight when you get it, as well as detailed shots of the reverse. I like what I see, but the Hero is always hard at work...

Very nice detailing on all of those countersunk rivets.

Intresting. I would like to see a close up of whatever it is on the reverse at the eight to nine o'clock position.

                  @ Chet,
They are scratches to determine what kind of metal it is. Someone thought it might be lead but it is not. It is not bendable (if that is the right word in english?)

                    Ray,
Thank you for the picture. I had thought perhaps that it was some obscure makers/acceptance/whatever mark.

Today I received it. Here are the measurements:

                      Height is 64 mm
                      With is 47 mm

How much should the weight be? I don't have a scale that can be used for such light things

I like the badge - did you measure right? Top of the eagle's head to th bottom and left to right? Seems a bit big. Nowthese are rare, and I have not handled many, but more than most. They average 60x45 and the weight you PM me was a bit heavy. Like 5 grams heavy. Maybe you measured wrong, maybe you have a fatty? I do like what I see though. I would be worried if yours was too SMALL. But too big??? Thoughts?

First time I took measure with a ruler. In the meantime I found my..schuifmaat- I don't know the English word for it but with this tool you can squeeze the medal and slide the ruler. Sort of plier..
                            the exact measure is:
                            46
                            62.56
                            Still large maybe?
                            Why is it supposed to be a L56 and not-for instance a S&L ?

                            Thanks again!

edit: I found the word: calipers :-)

                              You measured with a ruler!?!?!

No wonder - calipers are what we needed. Yes, your numbers arewithin tolerances. I feel it is a good badge, of course I would like to handle it.

It is L/56 and not S&L because that is what it is. That is like asking why am I a boy and not, say, a girl?
