                Andy, I really can't tell for sure. My guess would be that the hinge was resoldered, but I already saw some very ugly solder jobs on Wiedmanns. Would need to handle the piece to know for sure. Do you guys concur ones more?

                    I'll have to non-concur. I think the hinge is original to the badhe because of the finish over the solder along the top edge of the hinge.

                          I somewhat concur. Weidmann certainly has had a number of sloppy solders. I think this is a resolder but prior to applying the finish thus making it the original setup for the badge...less the replaced pin which was already established.
