we know there are very good reproductions of these ones. First of all, "50" is totally wrong, and , from what I can see wreath material is a very poor material, not as original pieces....

Hi Ivan, thanks for the info.
I can tell you that a very experienced Belgium collector shared me the same info that the GAB 50 is totally wrong.

Ivan, apart from the material, are there any other red flags? The numbered box could be a replacement, I saw a few more of those in my limited collection life.

I feel like this piece is not a hundred percent textbook like it should be but I'd like to think it is original. The patina this badge has is not something you can fake from one day to an other. Plus there are many point I like about this badge.

Something that really bothers me though is the slightly different set up and the sharpened pin, all the hollow examples I know of have a cut off pin...

Would it be possible to post really sharp and detailed scans?

I know that I still have to learn a lot, but in this case I´m pretty sure it´s not OK. Just a feeling I got. Can´t give you any details.
