Look at the detail (or lack of) on the obverse. The bayonet looks like a butter knife with pits. Notice the lack of detail on the wreath. Especially beneath trigger guard on the rifle. This is a cast copy of an Assmann IAB, mold #2. Check down the column in this forum and you will find another thread dealing with a cast fake numbered "4". It was just posted this past week.

have a look at the obverse. Chet is absolutely right, these are the signs where the material cooled down so it could not flow in the mold correctly. An obvious fake.

......it is indeed unfortunate, but what Chet has to say here about the IAB you posted is, in my opinion as well, a fake, and for all the same reasons.
