    Heer Flak Badge

Hi all, I just joined the forum and look forward to learning as much as I can. I picked up this badge quite a while ago and wanted to get people's opinions. I had several established people look at it and they said they believe it's real. What do you guys think?

Looks like a nice original heeres flak by Herman Aurich of Dresden. Beware of people offering to buy it as it is a hard badge to find.

Very nice. Do yourself a favor and treat it with Vaseline, I see a little sincpest coming up..

                Thanks all, I appreciate it.

I heard about the use of Vaseline to get rid of that. Is there a chance of damaging the piece if I use it?

No, just the opposite - it can only help.

                    Hi Chad:

Your flak badge looks great, and echoing Don's comments, it is a harder one to find. The vaseline treatment will be a great call.

I enjoyed searching the isles with you at the Pomona show, and hope to see more of your collection posted on the various forums.

                    Take care,
                    Dennis

                      Hey Chad,

Nice meeting you at the Pomona Show too and a nice flak badge at that...

                      Regards,
                      Chris G.

                      P.S. Hi Dennis

a lot of "HA" flak badge was found wit afrika and kreta cufftitles few years ago in Breslau - and there is a lot of grounddug eqsamples now on Polish market

I had one but condition of it do not convince me to stay this award in my collection

                            Aurich Heer Flak

I just realized I never did post pics after I cleaned it up. There's still a little vaseline left, but overall this proves the effective results of vaseline treatment!
