    Gold CCC

Got this several years ago, and believed it to be a gold one. Just a few faint patches of finish on this zinc badge. Details appear to be correct for an R.S. badge, including the metal backplate, crimping, and the little gap at the bottom of the backplate. I'd like to get your opinions on this one!

    Regards,
    Kevin

                  Hello Kevin,

It looks like a nice original clasp by Souval. Hard to tell for sure whether it was a gold or bronze though. I can certainly see why you think it is a gold one and you could be right. It is just so hard to be certain when only traces of the finish remain. The attachment hardware does look more gold than bronze so I would think that is a good sign. Regardless, it is a nice clasp.

                  Best regards,
                  Tom

I concur, this is probably gold.

                    cheers

                      Hi Kevin,

Agree with the others, a very nice original RS CCC. Certainly can be a gold clasp, hard to tell in this condition, but the hardware points to it being gold rather than bronze.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Thanks for your opinions, gents! Putting this one on estand because I'm concentrating on Luftwaffe flight and survival equipment.
