Congrats, Jippie - It's called the Pillow Crimp or Pillow Crimped IAB for obvious reasons - maker... I don't know if known?
    Best

        Hi Jipee......

......As Rainer stated we still don't have a manufacturer nailed down for the 'pillow crimp' IAB. Perhaps some day though. It's a nice one, of that you can be sure.

          Update

I wonder,do we all know maker of mysterious Pillow Crimped IAB now???

I today noticed this SWB on estand:

Pillow Crimped ones are = L/18 B.H. Mayer's, Hofkunstprageanstalt Pforzheim

            Hi Jipee,

I like where you are headed, my thoughts were the same when I saw this Wound Badge. However, BH Mayer IABs are already known and marked as such, and the pillow crimp IABs are much different. Definately 2 separate makers.

Good new is that the mark on the Wound Badge is not L/18, but rather L/13 . That is Paul Meybauers number and as far as I know, no PM IAB has ever been identified, so as far as I am concerned, these pillow crimp IABs stand a VERY EXCELLENT chance of being made by Meybauer.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
