Note the slightly clockwise twisted swaz on Peter´s example, typical for a RS CCC.

                  SIlver CCC by R.S.

                  Dear Friends,

Thank you very much for your help. I am trying to learn more about clasps by Souval. The reason is that my friend is selling a silver clasp. I never had one so I don't know anything about Souval clasps but as the badge looked good to me I passed the offer on to another collector friend. He send it to a well respected dealer to get an expertise, and the badge turned out to be a fake.

Let me post some of the pics of the silver CCC in question and let's compare it to the other ones posted.

Here is a picture of the obverse.

                  Best regards,
                  Al

                          Hi Al:

Jeff here. One thing I notice is look at the first 2 CCC's. At the point where the swastika is attached on the right side running along the grenade. They move in a straight line. The one you show appears to move away from a straight line. Not an expert, just noticed difference. I don't know about variation you have on backplate, but I would think the obverse would remain constant.

                          Cheers

                            Hi Albert.

Here´s another pix of the R.S. Compare Philippe´s and
mine and you´ll find the exact same anomaly on the right
                            side of the letter R.

                            Regards
                            Peter

here is a close up of the are you mention. I see what you mean but the difference is only on the pic, it is same in real life.
