*** Juncker Porsche IAB, opinions please ***

Guys - I would appreciate your opinions about this Porsche IAB. I don't think I have to worry, but approval by the forum is always a plus.
    Best Regards
    Rainer
PS: pix are crappy, will take better ones soon, but that's it for now

catch - I sure hope the flatwire catch is an accepted variation for this guy, all other examples I found had the round wire catches.

That catch is wrong for a Junckers...maybe its picture but material doesn't look like NS to me

Thanks for the comments so far - I just took pix on the Photo table (same badge) with my own camera, more opinions welcome.

latest pics looks like NS-catch though a replacement?

Yes, I also would think a replacement , otherwise the finish would be hiding the solder as it is on the hinge. Here is a resoldered catch on a Luft GAB (on the right). The parent metal was filed, exposing the brass catchplate, then the catch was reapplied/resoldered to the plate. The finish would have hidden the solder originally. We don't know for sure that this is the same case with this IAB, but it looks like the same scenario when compared with the Luft GAB.

We also see this black flux/solder on buntmetal U-Boat badges, but the only difference is it appears on both the catch and the hinge.

The big question is on the photos below - were they period repairs?

Thanks for the input guys. as I stated above, I've seen round wire catches on the Porsches only so far. A fixed catch sounds plausible, a very nice job at that, and not too obvious if indeed a fixed example.
                            Thanks again

Repaired or not, that's still one beautiful IAB
If you ever grow tired of it, I know someone who wouldn't mind having it
