Out of the 20 or so that I have, this is the only IAB I have not been able to put next to a maker or give it a 'name'! Any ideas.
It hase some great bubbling silver and a bit of frosting. Finish is absorbing on about 50%. The finish on the back is flat and the bubbling gives the grainy texture, not the badge metal.
Just been searching the post etc and have found an exact match (obverse) for this badge in the reference section for IAB's - under 42,43 'Wernstein'. As we know know the Wernstein 'UU' badge is now a "Weidman', did Weidman produce an unmarked badge with this setup ?? Under my loupe my badge matches the features of both the badges in the reference section exactly.
Just found a bronze 'UU' marked badge with this setup....
