    Marc,
If it is the same badge what is the story with the excess flashing shown?

It is the angle - I am holding the badge in my hand and it is there. I will reshoot it tonight when I get home. It will delay the return by a day but it is worth it. Also, look at the dirt pattern - how do you reproduce that!?!?

The "dirt" is what bothers me most. It could be the remains of a very fine casting medium if it is indeed dirt and under the lacquer. You have to hold it in hand to tell for sure.

Holding it now. It is a deep crack in the lacquer where dirt is collecting and where the lacquer is pulling back.

            Hi

            Hi Marc,

Feel free to hold on to the badge as long as you need. You said
At this point I am happy to put it in my book under the interesting new stuff you decide if you want it because it really needs more study
. What do you mean if I want it? Are you refering to a section in the book or to the badge itself? I'm confused. Hey I know that stories are only stories and they really do mean alot but ask yourself this if it came from someone you really trusted you would probably give it the benifit of doubt too. I was just trying to give everyone the background that I had on the badge. But after seening the pictures Robert posted the story I got defiently was not the truth.

              Kenneth,
You mistake my meaning - the reader at this point needs to decide if the badge is for his colection. I can not say, boys this one is good beyond question. Yet.

                Hi

Ok, I get it now. Well I wrote the MedalMike guy and nothing yet. Hopefully he gets in contact with me soon.

                Thanks
                Kenneth

Thank you for the excellent photographs, Marc. It's the same badge.

Paul Hogle just wrote, and said he returned the badge to the individual (?)he bought it from when I refused it. This badge has recorded more air miles than I this last year!
