    Stamped hollow PAB, F&R...

    Hello,
Bob from Collector to Collector and I are working on a transaction and gave me permission to post these pictures here for review. As I stated to Bob, I am fairly comfortable with the Items I am looking at and we both just want to make sure. Any help and Information is appreciated, Thanks..

Anyone have an Idea on this PAB?
The front looks like a typical F&R PAB, Just not familiar with the hollow back models.. Thanks...

The badge is good if that is what you wanted to know. I'm sure an BH Mayer/F&R PAB but not sure an early BH Mayer/F&R PAB. I can not tell for sure if it is buntmetall but it looks like a feinzink PAB and it's difficult to find with the finish in good condition. The picture looks like there is not much finish on it. I can not tell if it is silver or bronze but it could be the lighting. A close up of the catch would give us a little more info on the maker and the weight can tell us more as well. Frank & Reif made hollow zinc badges the weight is 14 to 16 for F&R with a low quality finish and 20 to 22 for BH Mayer.

Thanks for the info, not sure what the weight is, Bob says it is a Zink badge.
