    CCC JFS 1st pattern?

    Hi guys dug the pictures of my CCC in bronze out earlier and it left me asking two questions, Is this a 1st pattern? and whats going off with the reverse pattern on the pin? i know its hard to see from these pictures and if needed i will supply some more but im at work at present and dont have it with me

    You can see part of the reverse pin on this one it carries all the way down as if it was put there on purpose

        That's a first pattern JFS.

        I'm not sure what the pitting on the underside of the pin would be, if that is what you mean...

            Hi Giel thanks for your reply thats one question out of the way
            The pattern on the reverse of the pin is not damage i will try and get some more snaps tonight i can see where the reverse pattern has bent when the pin was bent and covers the entire length of the pin i havent found another example like it,

                Hi Jam,

                I agree, its a nice first pattern JFS CCC, easiest way to tell is the crimping to the hinge.

                As far as the pin goes, this is something that can sometimes be seen on original JFS pins, as far as CCCs are concerned. Not sure how it is created, but it is definately a characteristic sometimes seen on originals. I wounder if JFS # GABs & PABs have the same characteristics. Here is a clasp from Allyn Booher showin showing similar characteristics.

                  WOW thats what i love about this place post it up 30 mins later all questions answered thanks Tom and Giel, I had this one on the E-stand a while back and it didnt sell i believe potential buyers were put off by the reverse of the pin.
