I was able to show it to G Man at the last MAX and he was able to evaluate the ring for me. And if I sell he has first crack as he inquired about purchase before anybody else. He also said something about wanting photos of it for his book. He was able to tell me a lot about the ring and its construction.Comment

Doc, I'm ready anytime you want to give that ring a new home!
The hole is needed when 2 dissimilar metals are soldered together on a hollow ring. Makes affixing the emblem alot easier! This type of ring is usually Italian made. You can usually tell because many [not all] have Italian Fascist silver hallmarks!!
