Thank you in advance for your kind replies.

        Hi Claudio,

I would not give you $10 for the RK - it is a repro casting imo.

The semi-hollow is much harder. The detail looks good but there are differences in the overall finish and differences in the hinge/pin/catch with the two or three others I have seen images of and trust. The fit of the eagle is not great either. Personally, I don't like it but others with more experience on these rare badges may have a differing opinion.

The 75 GAB does not look right either. For a start the hinge is not crimped in like it should be (terminally bad sign in my books) and the wreath profile is incorrect. Not for my collection.

i may not be a expert on this matter, but by looking at the "25" badge it makes me wonder,

the front seems to be ok, but whats the ting about the knife? it looks like it has been refitted or its just the pic having a darkness in the sharp end of the knife, almost like it was surpose to have a longer knife... and note the lack of details on the knife/grenade

also note on the reverse side how the pin just reaches its goal.
not my kind of badges, so i could be wrong.

            Ciao Claudio,

IMO the Gab25 is wrong in many aspects, leave it where it is!

I don't comment the other two as I don't have sufficient knowledge, but I wanted to ask just out of curiosity if they all come from the same source.

            ciao,

              Hi Guy's,

Matteo, if your sure about the 25 beeing a copy, then you don't have to leave the 75 to the experts.

The hinge crimping and the pin on the 75 are an exact copy of the 25. So these 2 came out of the same company.

A little common sense brings you a long way in this hobby. That just leaves the 50 for the experts

Claudio, the hollow 50 is so rare I'm not sure who could be considered an expert. I was given a reference photo of a supposed "original". While the catch on the badge you posted appears that it may have been replaced, the photo I was given shows a round wire "C" wire catch. It also has a thinner pin. Unfortunately all I have is a paper photo and can't post it today. My suggestion would be just let it go.

                  Hello Claudio,

I agree with the comments so far on the GAB 25/75 the hollow back one is 75% against, but if you could show the back I can make a better judgement, I do have an original of one of these, as does another Forum member I know.

                  Regards,

                  Anthony

                    Ciao caro Claudio,

                    da dove saltano fuori?

spero che non siano tuoi nuovi acquisti in Illingen!

Sorry but I must agree with my friend Anthony ( he has one of the scarce original hollow type), all not good.

                    ciao

                          GAB 25 made by RK

                          Hello Claudio

here is mine GAB 25 backside made by RK. Compared to the one you showed look at the number box. Yours too big compared to mine. Also check the pin. See the little recess on top of the pin near the hinge. The missing recess is also a give away of a fake.
I must admit that I also had mine here on the board for discussion.

                            Thank you for your comments.

                            Ciao,
