I agree, looks like a nice original.

I've been studying this badge in Sascha Weber's book on the IAB, pgs. 62-63. I don't know how particular you are about fine detail, but I'm seeing some subtle differences in this badge and his in his book. The maker mark for one is different, also the junction of the wreath to the right side wing. If there were variants to these details I could understand slight differences, but if we are relying upon textbook die features, this badge does not match the badge in the book, although VERY close. I only suggest we look closely to Sascha's detailed features of his badge and compare them with this badge before we make a final decision.

                    My respects,
                    Robert

Thank you for all the replys.
I'm not an expert on IAB's at all, but when I compare it with this IAB:
                      http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ighlight=m.k.1

I think it looks the same.

                      regards,
                      André

There must be a variant to the piece in the book. The maker mark on the badge in the book is really different. If every one of these badges are considered original by so many people, then there must be another variant Sascha left out. The letters in the mark are different, and the dots '.' between each letter/number are much larger and lower.

I can't see anything wrong with the badge.

I've never seen an MK with such an amount of finish left!
                          Kind regards,
                          Giel

Which company produced the M.K.1 badges?

If I'm not mistaken it was Metall and Kunststoff, Gablonz.
