    MINT IAB in SILVER

    Hello all,

Does this one check out? I know I have seen the reverse setup before but I can't remember who it was attributed to.

Please let me know either way. Thank you.

      Hey William......

......This IAB checks out fine. Still unattributed to any manufacturer, but sometimes known as the 'deformed leaf' IAB. I thought you would have seen lots of these by now? Anyway......

This one that you are asking about is in mint condition, as you have stated. Very nice.

Waht are the thoughts on the finish overall ?

Those that are 'mint' that I've seen in Germany and the UK over the last year tend to be of a more toned down to dull silver wash - matt at that, really.

I was looking closely to upgrade an example I have, a vet obtained example, but decided in the end to live with the example I had.

Are there many finishes encountered on these ?

This isn't on the Hero's site is it by any chance ?

        Kr

          Hi,
Here are two models to finish different from the same manufacturer
The IAB are assigned a WILHELM DEUMER.

                        Hi Bill,

Very nice and original IAB made by an other unknown maker.

The type of finish on yours is very typical for this badge, don't worry
                        Kind regards,
                        Giel

                          Hi,

Simply because I know the same model in its original package of origin brand DEUMER.

                          Regards

                          Phil.

Thanks for the information but are there more informations about this packet and IAB combination (how and where it was found?) because it's quite simple to put an unmarked IAB in a packet 60 years after the war.

Don't understand me wrong but the forumla "packet + IAB = maker" isn't safe nowdays so we need some more input.
                            Best regards, Andreas

This information m'has been given by Pieter Verbruggen but I do not know the origin of this set.
