Before I found this forum, I didn’t realize how many copies are produced and sold as originals. This picture (Copy of the week) was on Detlev’s web site a few months ago.
To tell you the truth, I am not a very good expert. I am afraid I am not a collector either because I have just a few things. One of them is this CCC, which I have for a few years now. I would like to hear your opinion about it because my clasp differs from any pictured above, and I really like to play only with original pieces.
So could you please take a look at the pictures and share your thoughts?
IMO, the badge is made not from the bronze because in the damage area (in the yellow circle) some gray metal is visible under the bronze finish.
If you tell me this is a fake, I won’t be surprised because I have seen so-o many fancy fakes here already!
