Both badges are identical and i assume that they cooperate in selling fakes as orginals.

      Hi AK

Personnaly I have no problems with the M.K 2 IAB's you posted. In my opinion both badges are OK.

The FO was recently discussed in an other thread and I think everybody agreed that these were no good. Biggest give away the wrong marker make. But I have seen these on a lot of dealer sites lately.

I agree with you that with both dealers you have to be very carefully, even more with "african Hero" then with Mundomilitaria, but if you only look at their low end stuff, certainly at mundomilitria, you will find original IAB's, GAB's & PAB's. Just be carefully.

        hello
I agree with Philippe for the IAB. It's a good one for me. I will not make any comment about the submarine badge since KM badges are not my field.

          Hi AK,

BTW the IAB's you posted are one and the same badge. Frank H ones told me that their is somekind of relation between RVB and the african hero. They also have on their site the exact same round PB, alltough with a different price.

            Okay,

Aside from the sellers being somewhat shady, what makes them phony? Especially want to know about the infantry assault badge because it looks fantastic.

              Hi Gene,

Like I stated before, nothing wrong with the IAB. AK probably focussed to much on the sellers reputation and that's also partly our fault because we spoke more then ones about this guy as the devil in disguise. Always trust your own knowlegde and not the reputation of the seller.

Concerning the Fo U-boat, look at this thread

That is indeed a beautiful IAB I have absolutely no problems with Rainer, as long as you know what you are buying (I e-mailed him once about a 333 EK2 he had on sale, he pulled it immediately instead of trying to prove to me its "genuine"). He does have a lot of genuine items.

I can tell you only this:

Afrika hero 90 % fakes (often well known ones)
Mundomilitaria 40-50 % fakes (some very good fakes)

Both know what they are doing - for example you can find Rainer from Mundomilitaria on every Mil. Show in Germany since 15 years.

Don´t think that they don´t know about the fakes they are offering! Okay, when you tell him that an item is not good, of course he takes it from his website (when I remember right I read in an earlier thread that there were more than one people who told him about the 333 Iron cross) - but you will find it on their stands on the shows.

Business is dead with a bad reputation, so they take the items from their site.

Sorry boys, but these guys are no fools - they are money makers!

Mario, are you kidding me, of course they know what they are doing, thats a given. I never for a second doubted Rainer knew that 333 was a fake.

The point that Phillipe is making, and I agree with him, is that you cannot go simply on dealer's reputation, you have to use your judgement and be careful and you might find good things where you least expect them. Just like the IAB that started this thread...

....absolutely right and the best thing you can "buy" from these two dealers is for free: knowledge.
African hero published the best online book on fakes: his site.

                      Cheers, Frank
