I doubt a jeweller would repair it for you anyway because the badge is zinc. The temperatures they use would be too high as would the risk of further damage to the badge.

The gluing would be your safest bet, unless you know a little bit about soldering and you can do it yourself with a mini-torch but if you do, you've got to be repared that you could ruin it further.

Nice job on that repair Lorenzo!

Keep in mind also that the more viscous the adhesive is the more you will have to use to get a good bond. By this I mean if the epoxy is thick, and you squeeze it out between the surfaces, there wont be enough left to adhere properly. Super glue is thin, and fills in the mating surfaces of the broken hinge and the badge, without oozing out. A little bit will go a long way, all that is needed is a light smear.

What about JB Weld or that ultra gooey super glue? Which is better for a hinge job like that?

The problem is that the hinge has already been repaired, that means its "dirty". If you use the normal thin type of super glue it won´t stick because of this (both surfaces must be clean).
I would opt for 2 component glue. That sticks everything!
