    The clasp is an original for sure. As far as the rust goes, depending on the conditions that it was found or stored, rust like this is quite legitimate. With a light oil and a toothbrush it will probably clean up and look decent. best wishes,

        That piece is very curious...no doubt an original piece....but aged just like a repro...very curious.
