    Flak w/box

So I would like to get some opinions on the badge. I'm pretty confident that it's good but would like to hear what everyone thinks. If possible I would also like to know who the maker is. The box has a maker mark but I would like to see if the box is original to the badge. If it's an unknown maker maybe this could be a badge that helps ID the maker.

Looks like crap to me. Can I get weight and measurements? The Vienna Flaks are heavilly faked. The swas is not uniform - look at the arms. The head is like a baby head on a full-size badge. But what gets it for me is the extra feather on the far right. Look at how there is an extra spot lower than the other feathers - I have never seen that before. That said, it does somewhat resemble the "flat-back" Flaks that were recently found - but the inner gears look leaden and soft.

There are 9 makers of the Heeresflak and this does not conform to any I know. It is close to the Vienna, but the wrong hardware combination and features as I say above that do not match.

I would like to hear Ian and Eric on this one, but for me it is crap. Can you show the box?

And it has 23 rivets on the base - I have never seen a Flak with that many rivets. Please post the maker from the box. If it is not among the known makers well, that would be interesting...

Dose the box have FLL (in he lid) on it by any chance - reason being it looks similar to the IAB boxes for them. And is it a reddy come brown colour on the outside of the box too ? (I can't tell from the angle of the pic whether it is or not)

(Marc just sent you an e mail on codes in cases)

If it is FLL that would be VERY interesting. Especially as the hardware is very FLL-esque...still I hate the swas.

I'm only aware to date though of IAB's surfacing in these, however it's possible other FLL awards were put into these of course (the same applies to BSW cloud boxes)

I couldn't say with premise or conviction either way.....impossible.

Just in case it is FLL here are two of mine, one marked one not. The marked examples are few and far between the unmaked as frequent really to my knowledge - they are out there though in collections.

                        Kenneth,

I posted this badge in the FLL-marked cardpaper box months ago. I was also interested in it also. It's been overly coated in some sort of lacquer to give it a mint condition look. I'll see if I can't find the thread in my history and post the link here for you. Don't get your hopes up on it. Like the others have said, it has nothing in common with the originals.

                          Yes

It's an FLL box. I didn't want to say because I would like to know the maker with out using the box.

Already done it Robert, I recalled when I posted these things of mine.

You had a link to a dealer site and now the pic has gone.
