APB Badge worn at Auschwitz? www.usmm.org

    http://www.ushmm.org/research/collec...schwitz_album/
    ARTICLE IN PAPER TODAY

Apparently some U.S. Intel soldier was staying in an apartment in Germay in 1946 and has turned over a photo album to DC'S MUSEUMS, IS THAT AN ANTI PARTISAN BADGE THAT KARL HOECKER IS WEARING? HE IS NEXT TO RUDOLF HOESS AND RICHARD BAER.

SORRY PHOTO IS NUMBER 128, LINK JUST TAKES YOU TO THE ALBUM.

    That's a DRL sportbadge.
    Kind regards,

An album as you don't find them since 20 years.
      Stunning.

Looks more like an DRL and a SA Sportabzeichen.

These guys surely had a hard time torturing and killing people...

I agree. If you look at most of the photos of people involved in this type of action you will find a general lack of combat awards.

What a shame that these guys had runes on their tabs. I think the life of most vets would have been easier without this chain-linking to the KZ staff.

Yes, The Commadant himself wore the Infantry Assault badge.
Thanks, Thought everyone would like to see this. It was awful to know and see how callous and insouciant they were to what was REALLY going on, But if you or i were in their position, what would you have done? HItler would have killed you, your children and entire family if his oders were not carried out. DESTINY? Jewish people have and always will be persecuted, for they are GODS children and that in itself is makes leaders go after them. They have still not acheieved their goals, thank god!
These people were criminals and it is all over with, but to have it chronicled by pics from a high ranking soldier makes me sick!

This is a falsehood. Show me where there was an instance of a guy serving in a camp who was killed for not wanting to be there. It was either there or the Russian front. Many chose to stay where they were while some decided to go and fight.

Not so nice to see frontline officers in that environmet.
Mengele served in "Wiking" before he was badly wounded and ended up in Auschwitz.
