    CCC by B&NL

Has anyone ever seen a CCC marked B&NL (Berg&Nolte Lüdenscheid)?

    Hi Ludwig,

Yes, Chet has one that he let me examine about a year ago. This is the only one I have ever seen marked and it is on a so called Steinhauer and Luck CCC. The hardware doesn't match S&L CCCs and the obverse details are softer, so my guess is that this is a post war piece using S&L's original dies and then marked with B&NL to increase value.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

        Thanks, Tom!
I saw one many years ago and the quality was very good, but the silver finish looked like... My thought then, was that it had been resilvered.

          Hi Ludwig,

Do you remember if it looked like the one I posted above, same type of obverse deisgn? I am 100% confident that this design was made by S&L. We sometimes find weird maker marks on products by other makers and finding 1 CCC marked B&NL I can chalk that up to an oddity. If we find 2 or 3 CCCs of the same design marked B&NL, then I think we should start to reconsider the findings, but all evidence points to S&L making these CCCs.

Sorry, Tom, I don´t remember that at all.
But I think that the letters were to the left...
