    Silver Juncker PAB

    Dear All,

There have ben some of the Bronze Juncker PAB's on the Forum but I don't remember seeing any of the Silver, so I thought I would post a new one of mine.

IMO they are an exceptional PAB with great detail, the chest of the Eagle protudes out like the Eagle on the padde cloth Luftwaffe Pilot's badges to give a great effect. They must have had good quality control as the weight of all I have seen is very close indeed.

    Regards,

    Anthony

          Hi Anthony,

Finaly I can stop worrying. I realy got desperate because it was so difficult to find a so-called Juncker PAB, now I know why. Those that aren't already in Jan's collection belong to you

            Hi Philippe,

As you can see I really like the Juncker PAB's and of course the AS ones, and then all of them!!!!

I forgot to mention that the detail in the tracks on the Juncker is quite pronounced, just a beautifull badge overall.

            Regards,

            Anthony

That really is a tasty silver PAB Anthony.

Phil, it took me ages to find a bronze Juncker PAB, I thought I had one and then it turned out to be the Zimmermann.

I am also still looking for the silver though, strange that most people seem to have the bronze one as I would have thought that the silvers would have been awarded more than the bronze.

                Hi Skip,

Thanks Skip, I agree with you.

I have been looking for quite awhile and see the Bronze ones but very few of the Silver ones, with other PAB's it is always the Silver ones and the Bronze are hard to find.

                Regards,

                Anthony

                      Hi Anthony et al,

your Juncker family is very large, I'm still looking for my first Juncker PAB (as Skip I've just found Zimmermanns around be it silve, bronze, hollow or solid, but no Junckers)
I noticed that on the silver one the catch is made of round wire while on the bronze ones rect wire is used... is this a sign of an earlier badge? Or later?

                      Cheers,
                      Matteo

                        WOW!!

I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT YOUR JUNCKER'S FAMILY, MY DEAR FRIEND!!!

                        my congrat!!

you're right, details of Juncker pab's are greats but I like very much the high material quality that Juncker used even for a "normal" badge as PAB, look for example the first badge you posted (silver grade) I think is in buntmetall.

                          Really ...

... nice set of Bronze and Silver Junkers there Anthony.

Great looking PAB, the Junkers, besides the detail, a really solid hinge, pin, and catch assembly.

                          Very nice indeed.

                            Hi Guys,

Thank you for the kind comments, it took a long time to get the Junckers together.

                            IVAN,

The Silver one looks like Buntmetall as you say but I think a high quality Zink.

                            Mattoe,

The Silver one seems to be an early type with as you say a round wire catch, all the Bronze ones have the flat type, I would like to see another Silver one to see if the catch is the same, but they are very hard to find as Skip has said.

                            Spitfire,

As you say a very well put together PAB, detail, construction, pin etc, all quality, the early Zimmermanns with the Juncker style pin seem to have this to.

                            Regards,

                            Anthony
