Ebay Anti Partisan Badge - what do you think?

I was asked to post some dimensions: it is 56mm high, and 48mm across. It weighs 31g, or 1.1 oz.

Definately too small to be real. try these out for size:

Weight is 27.5 grams, 59.2mm length, 49.9mm width
Weight of yours indicates something other than zinc.

Thank you Don, it is too small. I was thinking the same about the weight - plus it just doesn't look like zinc. The color and material "feel" is like a composite material almost like tombak - but it's got a coppery hue to it, not the flat grey look of zinc. s/f Robert

I have checked p112 in Beadle's book and the pin and catch look different to me.

The page in question shows obverse and reverse of an APB in Gold. The hinge and catch appear to be the standard ones found on these badges and not like the one's you have posted. However, the photos are quite small so these details aren't very clear.

Robert, I doubt you will be able to convince him of anything. If he thought it was good he would have taken it bad by now. A good BKA would be sold very quickly.

This dealer (Ric Smith) goes under the ebay title of Vega-exotica, and is a UK-based fellow. Has anyone had any dealings with him?

Hello Robert, I have had dealings with vega=exotica, he was trying to sell me a JMME para badge till I explained what it should really look like (thanks to the Luftwaffe Forum)
